Pre-K for All
Saint France Cabrini Catholic Academy’s Pre-K for All Program focuses on preparing early learners for kindergarten with an emphasis on literacy and social and emotional development. Students participate in play-based lessons and practice collaborative problem-solving skills in a structured and nurturing learning environment. Classroom lessons promote independent discovery, cooperative learning, and appropriate play. SFCCA’s interdisciplinary curriculum is aligned with the NYS Common Core and includes units in math, science, music, social studies, and technology. Young learners begin to develop basic foundational skills in academics, socialization, initiative and motivation. Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic Academy students are exposed to a comprehensive program designed to give them a strong academic foundation, a well-rounded character, and firm/positive spiritual formation. SFCCA students develop intellectual rigor, critical-thinking abilities, and character skills in an inclusive learning environment that promotes inquiry and self-expression. Students are challenged through a multi-disciplinary curriculum, aligned with the NYS Common Core, of reading, math, writing, religion, science, social studies, foreign language, and physical education in a technology-rich learning environment. In addition, students have the option to participate in enrichment, academic support, and sports activities during the academic year.
After School Program
SFCCA offers an After School Program in partnership with the Scalabrini Center. The After School program is open for students in Pre-K-8 for on Monday through Fridays from dismissal-6:00 PM. Please contact the school office for additional details and fees.
Partnerships and Collaborations
SFCCA collaborates and partners with several organizations and institutions within Bushwick and greater Brooklyn area, including the Diocese of Brooklyn Office of the Superintendent, Stages On the Sound, Catapult Learning, GoQuest Learning, and Churches United for Fair Housing (CUFFH).
From Kindergarten through 8th grade, students receive instruction according to Common Core State Standards for the following subjects and special subjects:
– English Language Arts
– Social Studies
– Physical Education
